Just a few more books! But they're so much fun!

I've been working away at the leather I've had in the studio for a while now and cranked out two more journals. These are a couple of my favorite so far! They already have planned homes and I can't wait for Christmas to get here to gift them.

I tried to make them manly for a couple of special teenage boys so I'm hoping they get used.

My intent for them is to be dream journals or angel journals for the boys to write in to help release some things on their mind.

Selomon has made me realize how truly important it is to keep a journal and I just think these are awesome little gifts. Totally hand made. Uses up materials I had on hand.

Materials used: Leather Scrap , cardstock paper and copy paper - multitone , embroidery thread  and a needle pretty much.

I used some color coordinated paper to help represent their favorite schools and teams.



These ones did take a little more poking at since the leather is thicker. I got my xacto knife out and poked some holes to help save some time.

Happy Birthday to mee......

I couldn't help it! I caved and made myself an awesome birthday present! I have been dying to make myself an original Shine hat to represent my new favorite hobbies. BUT I am so picky when it comes to making things for me I usually just can't do it.
However, this weekend is a special occasion and I needed something sick to represent Shantastic Shine @ High Land Jam for my Birthday.

A package full of AWESOME!

My mailman musta loved me today I received 3 packages of awesome things! I received a box of awesome sun catchers from @Native rose crafts that I will be sharing with you one day soon!  The second one was boyfriends BIRTHDAY PRESENT! which I  think I was more excited for than he even was. Now he can record things with his guitars and I can hear him play them over and over, as if I didn't already have his soundtrack permently engraved in my daily life playlist haha. None the less it is super cool and I am glad to have helped him get something important to one of his talents as well.

Finally what I have been DYING to share is I also received a box of treasures from a very awesome lady named De niece. She sent me a  nice assortment of glass pendants and charm bracelets!

All she wanted in exchange was a simple trade. But I have some surprises in store for her! I will be working on something special for her and her crew for a special trip they will be taking in the near future! Check in next week to see what her package is!
With all these awesome new things in my craft bag I will have to get to work on some pretty new pieces. I can't wait to share them all with you soon. Please check back in from time to time to see what I've newly created.

Every year I like to make something special for my aunt to remind her how grateful I am that she helped my Grandma take care of me when I was younger. Having lost mom my ( her sister) my Uncle ( Her brother) and my pap ( Her dad) all rather crossly together we went through some hard times together.
