A deeper look into Aquamarine


This week's featured Crystal is Aquamarine.  It is also the beautiful light blue birthstone for the month of March. 
 Aquamarine is said to be a stone of courage.  Its calming energies is suppose to reduce stress and quiet the mind, while harmonizing it's surroundings.  Aquamarine also has an affinity with sensitive people.  It can help them grow a tolerance of others and overcomes judgmentalism, giving support to those overwhelmed by responsibility.  
 Aquamarine was carried by sailors for many reasons. One is because it helps to clarify perception, sharpens the intellect and clears confusion.   It is also said to be a talisman against drowning.

Aquamarine is useful for closure on all levels.  Aquamarine promotes self-expression, soothes fears, increases sensitivity, sharpens intuition and opens clairvoyance.  It is a wonderful stone for meditation.  It shields the aura and aligns the chakras.  
It is also highly protective during pregnancy and it helps to guard both mother and baby from harm and assists to prevent miscarriage.  Other healing properties and areas would be for the throat, swollen glands , and thyroid problems. 

It is best if worn or placed on eyes or throat for meditation.
