Tons of fun stuff made today! Yay!

I have accomplished a lot today! I actually thought I was being kinda lazy and look how much I got done!

I finished not one but TWO thick heady DOG LEASHES!

One dog leash is ina longer tan twine style and a thicker. It has a longer style loop to that you can easily put it on your shoulder like a bag to keep your furry pal near by almost hands free. The other is a shorter black thick style, which also has a larger style loop for over the shoulder use!

My other projects tonight includeda custom Stealie painting, a thicker style hemp necklace, and a natural tone circle-lock size 8 fitted hat.

I'm on a ROLL! Hope to keep it up tomorrow! Gettin' stocked up for August festies.

Sharing is caring

2nd hat is now painted ! Yay!

After a few hours of concentration it is 2:52 in the a.m. and my 2nd hat is finished.... ahh accomplishment.

NOW , it's chill time.

Then to rest up to rise tomorrow to make it shine!

Wooo!

The hat I just finished painting is a white flat bill. It is a fitted style size 7 1/2
The hat is originally white and was hang painted on the front and bill. Currently the "back" is splatter painted with black.

The hat is neon painted and will soon be Black light activated! (For more info on this watch the SHINE video here) I will add it to the shop in the next few days. If interested at all please let me know. I will be working on a few other designs soon too. Hoping to raise enough to purchase Interlocken festival tickets before they are sold out. So please feel free to take a peak around in the shops to help donate to my much needed festy vacation fund as well as support my starving artist dreams.

All of you who take the time to peak around at all are what makes my day better. Thanks for your time!

Now enough late night rambling. I am going to go chillax.
Until next time,

LunaLove - I just realized I painted my night away.

I just realized I painted for about 6-7 hours..... I went down to the studio instead of cleaning like I said I would in my last post because it was a beautiful day outside and the sun felt awesome coming through the studio windows. I started painting and just got really into it. Then I realized the Sun disappeared  and I wondered why I felt kinda tired. I looked at the clock and the time had flew buy! I had facebook notifications and a new Etsy contact!

TIME FLEW... and now I realize I have a bad habit of hunching over my easel :/ however... I did create a pretty sweet looking moon piece.  Wanna see?:)

I used my new paints with new brushed and a new canvas...... what an awesome feeling. That doesn't happen often.  Did I mention the studio was all cleaned up still? (Yes I am proud of myself. )

Here's to a good days work... Off to a relaxing evening of Pinterest "research"

Let her grow: Painting for a friend

Let her Grow - 16x20 Custom Painting by Shannon Cook
NOTE: We NEED a new photo together ASAP!
This was way to hard to find in a 2010 album!
What in the heck have we been doing that we
never take a photo ever? This needs fixed!
New 2013 Goal get a good photo with each of
my good friends :)
I had been busy doing a lot of paintings for shows towards the end of 2012. I filled Dante's bar and the Culinary Cafe as well as Allegany College of Maryland Campus' and a few festivals! I'd say I kept pretty busy in the studio.

Well my fabulous bestie of friends Michael had been begging (Okay, maybe not begging but hinting rather strongly) for a painting I had. It was slightly different than my Let her Grow piece that I created JUST for him. (This is where he smiles really big and sends me a big :D for thinking of just him.)  None of my other friends got custom paintings surprisingly.

Just my brother whose doesn't count because a Halo themed painting is not on  my list of favorites. (Sorry bro, glad you liked it .)

Anyway. Let her Grow , is one of favorite paintings. Lime green has always been BOTH of our favorite colors for quite some time ( Unless he mysteriously changed favorite colors recently) Plus he had mentioned he would have loved the original painting even more if it were green. And so it was created.

He in return gave me a HUGE mixture of Christmas goodies. So many cookies, cupcakes, and fudge to die for!
I wish I would have snapped a picture because it was every sweet tooths dream. No lie!

Too late now though, its ALL gone. Me and Dutchers tore it up! A long with a few nibbles from friends who stopped by for the holidays..... I'll admit I ate most of it myself... SHHHH though I tried to tell my family I didn't eat to much sweet stuff living on my own! Oh well, I'll try to do better this year! Look out 2013 I have a lot to look forward too.

Oh yeah Real quick here is a photo of the Original painting from my Dantes Display and Live Painting event ( Reed more here....)

Hope you all enjoy it. If you would like a CUSTOM painting of your own or for someone special please feel free to Contact me. :) I'm always open to ideas and commission projects.

Halo Themed Painting For my little brother

I do not take credit for the Red vs Blue theme of the Halo Painting.

In fact, I wasn't even thrilled to be doing a Halo painting. BUT  I love my little brother and he begged for something Halo themed and he LOVES those Red vs Blue Halo videos. So when I found something similar to this while searching, I figured I would give it a shot for Christmas.

Here's how it turned out :

He does pretty good at pretending it's awesome.  However I found it sitting in my Grandmas kitchen on New years just chillin'. I will give him a pass because it was near his Xbox and his room is currently under some construction, but knowing my grams house it may sit in the kitchen for a while. What a random place for a  Halo painting right?

It must not have been to bad because Dutch even said he liked it. He's a hard one to please sometimes painting wise!

I need to work on some more guy themed paintings. When I was in college I use to paint lots of video game characters, oh how things change!

Yay for November. Time to get thankful and motivated!

November has arrived and it kinda snuck up on me!  However I got so much done I must say I am thankful for the sudden surge of motivation yesterday or nothing would have gotten finished. I had been sick for a few days and today I will be setting up my showcase at Allegany College of Maryland Bedford Campus with my good friend, former teacher, and inspiration Ms. Robyn Price.  :D

However, despite being sick I managed to create, print, share, and handout my promo flier for my Live Painting next week. Which you can check out more of the event: HERE .

I also worked on my speed painting. I created this  Jerry Garcia piece in 7mins and 23 seconds. It is on a 16x20 Canvas and will sell for $40 (wire hanging on back for easy display).

I also finally found a rotating easel! I ordered it just a few minutes ago. I hope it gets here in time for my live performance because I paid extra for it to ship asap! I'm to excited and impatient to wait ya know!

I also managed to see a bunch of friends and family through the day. Oh , and did I mention I actually did my homework?  All while being slightly sick! Go Me!
 t
I will say I am thankful for my boyfriend who has babied me and taken care of me the past 48 hours and put up with my poutyness knowing I had a ton of stuff to get through sick or not.  <3 maybe he really does support me as much as he says.

Now it's time for rest!

Crayon Art - Support

I started creating a lot of CRAYON ART today :) here are some photos.... now one of these may be a  bit of a controversy but :) I want my Gay friends , fans , and followers to know that I support them as well. Your decision is to be left with you and not someone who it is not bothering. I wish you all to be happy. I created these in support of one of my BEST friends who has supported me through everything. :) He is the best and I respect his decision to be with whom he pleases.

(These are Crayon Art melted to 8x10 canvas. These are $15.00. For larger requests feel free to contact me :)
